With over 19 years of nursing experience, I am currently employed FT at Gulf Coast Health Center in the pediatrics department where I have been for the last three years. I also work PT one day a week at New Beginnings Med Spa in Groves where I do family practice. Prior to this I was employed in Silsbee by Dr. Awar where I saw pediatric patients. I also have 22 months ER experience as an APRN. Prior to becoming a FNP, I had 15 years experience as a RN in NICU.

I graduated with my ADN from New Mexico State University back in 1997. I decided to return to school in 2011 and began taking required courses to fulfill my BSN. I attended UTMB for a fast eight month RN-BSN program where I decided to immediately apply for the nurse practitioner program. I was accepted for the fall and began the program FT at UTMB where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in April of 2013.

I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Texas Nurse Practitioners, Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners, and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
